Wine

Seppeltsfield Paramount DP64 Tokay is a fortified treasure made from Muscadelle grown at Rutherglen in north-east Victoria and raised in the Barossa Valley.

In 1914 Seppeltsfield purchased Hamilton Clydeside Cellars, Rutherglen's first winery. When this arm of the business was retired, its old barrels of fortified wines were brought back to the Barossa.

With extended ripening on the vine, the Muscadelle fruit is high in natural sugar. It is briefly fermented and fortified with a neutral spirit before undergoing extended ageing.

The wine blends youthful and ancient components from the winery's legacy Rutherglen Solera Tokay stocks, with an average age of 32 years. Remarkably, it also includes a parcel of vintage dated 1922 Tokay.

Dark brown with amber and olive hues, Seppeltsfield Paramount DP64 Tokay balances concentrated dried fruit flavours with bitter notes of dark chocolate and coffee.

Seamless and indulgent. Fully aged, it is ready to drink on release.
