Paramount DP62 Muscat
Wine
Seppeltsfield Paramount DP62 Muscat is made from Muscat à Petits Grains (commonly known as Brown Muscat) grown at Rutherglen in Victoria's north-east and matured in the Barossa Valley.
Seppeltsfield owned Hamilton Clydeside Cellars, established in 1861: Rutherglen's first winery. When this arm of the business was retired, the old barrels of fortified wines were brought back to the Barossa.
Late ripening Rutherglen fruit, high in natural sugar, is briefly fermented and fortified with a neutral spirit. It then undergoes extended maturation is seasoned oak barrels.
Younger batches are blended with older stock, producing a wine with an average age of 31 years.
Mahogany with a gold hue, Seppeltsfield Paramount DP62 Muscat is mouth coating and syrupy wine with dried fruit, spice and a delicate acidity. Enjoy on release.
