Original Sparkling Shiraz

Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz is made in the uniquely Australian style of sparkling red wines, pioneered by Seppelt winemaker Charles Pierlot in the 1890s.

The fruit is sourced from select vineyards across Victoria in the Grampians, Geelong and Heathcote regions.

Fermentation occurs on skins in a combination of static and open top fermenters. The wine typically matures for 12 months, 70% in stainless steel and 30% in seasoned French oak.

Select vintages are blended and the wine sees secondary fermentation in the bottle, which produces natural effervescence. It ages further on lees prior to release.

Vibrant red with garnet hues, Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz has bright, juicy red fruit flavours, spice, and a good balance of sweetness and tannin.
