Wine
Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz is a multi-regional blend of premium Shiraz parcels, sourced from the Grampians and Heathcote in central Victoria.
This wine, first produced in 1953 by Australian winemaking legend Colin Preece, is named for the picturesque Mount Chalambar in the Grampians region.
The fruit ferments on skins for around a week. The wine then matures for 12 months in a mix of 225 litre French oak barrels, a small portion new, and large, seasoned French oak vats.
Deep red purple, Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz combines berry fruit flavours with cool climate spice. Fine, velvety tannins add structure. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
