Lance's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Punch Lance's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the estate's original 1976 plantings, a tiny patch of vines at St Andrews in the Yarra Valley.

The vineyard is situated on a steep, northerly aspect in rocky clay soils. All the vines are hand pruned, dressed and harvested.

The grapes are destemmed but not crushed for wild fermentation. After 2-3 weeks on skins the wine is sent to seasoned French oak for maturation. It is neither fined nor filtered prior to bottling.

The wine is made in very limited quantities, often just two barrels.

Deep red, Punch Lance's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has black fruit flavours and finely structured tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
