Wine

Penfolds Bin 60A Cabernet Shiraz 2004 is an homage to Max Schubert's classic 1962 wine. It pays tribute to Schubert's ground breaking winemaking and ideas of multi-regional and cross varietal blending.

It blends Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon (55%) with Barossa Valley Kalimna and Koonunga Hill Shiraz (45%). The regional character of both Coonawarra and the Barossa are finely poised, resulting in intense flavours and aromas.

The fruit is vinified separately at Magill and Nuriootpa. The wine is racked into new oak hogsheads where it completes fermentation and matures for 12 months. Individual components are selected for the final blend.

Deep crimson purple, Penfolds Bin 60A Cabernet Shiraz is richly elegant with outstanding depth and length. Cellaring potential is 30 years.
