Wine
Mount Pleasant Maurice O'Shea Shiraz is named in honour of the winery's founder Maurice O'Shea. Made from the most rigorously selected parcels of estate grown fruit, it is the winery's flagship Hunter Valley Shiraz.
The handpicked grapes are destemmed into small open fermenters. After a short cold soak, the fruit is fermented over seven days. The wine is then pressed to large format French oak for 18 months of ageing before blending and bottling.
Deep purple crimson, Mount Pleasant Maurice O'Shea Shiraz has powerful red and black fruit flavours, perfect acid and tannin balance, and an enviable length.
Made only in outstanding vintages. Cellaring potential is 30+ years.
