Art Series Shiraz
Wine
Leeuwin Estate Art Series Shiraz draws from inland districts of Margaret River, where the warmer days and cooler nights allow the grapes to develop rich, spicy characters.
The grapes are sorted and cold soaked. They ferment in open and closed fermenters with some whole bunch inclusion. Gentle plunging and pump overs develop layers of flavour and tannins.
After a week on skins the wine is run to new and seasoned French oak for malolactic fermentation. At six months, the best parcels are blended and returned to barrel to age further.
Deep crimson, Leeuwin Estate Art Series Shiraz has opulent dark fruit flavours, elegant oak and a lingering, peppery tannin finish. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
