Art Series Chardonnay

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay is the wine that thrust Leeuwin Estate into the international spotlight. It is handpicked from the winery's Block 20 Vineyard, one of Margaret River's first vineyards.

The grapes are destemmed and cooled. After pressing, the juice settles for three days then is racked and inoculated with yeast. It ferments in new French oak with the lees stirred regularly to develop texture and complexity.

After 12 months in barrel, the components are blended, fined and cold stabilized prior to bottling. The bottles are cellared in cool storage for at least 15 months prior to release.

Pristine pale straw, Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay has pure citrus fruit flavours, a fine line of acidity and enviable length. A perfect balance of concentration and clarity.

It is the quintessential Margaret River Chardonnay. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
