Georgia's Paddock Nebbiolo
Wine
Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Nebbiolo is sourced from unirrigated and organically grown vines at Georgia's Paddock in Heathcote. Its Nebbiolo was planted in 1993.
Minimal intervention prevails in the winery, allowing the wine to express its distinct regional character. The handpicked fruit ferments with indigenous yeasts.
The wine is racked off lees and transferred to French oak for natural malolactic fermentation. It matures in barrel for up to 15 months without racking or fining. The wine is bottled after a coarse filtration.
Brick red, Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Nebbiolo has powerful red fruit flavours, long tannins and a clean, acidic finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
