la-bas Chardonnay
Wine
Golden Ball là-bas Chardonnay is sourced from the winery's original vineyard in Beechworth, planted in 1996 and grafted to two Burgundian Chardonnay clones in late 2013.
The vines produce low yields of intensely flavoured fruit. Primary fermentation takes place in one third new French oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation. During 18 months maturing on fine lees, the wine is regularly stirred.
Bright straw, Golden Ball là-bas Chardonnay's fruit flavours run deep, with tight acidity and oak structure providing texture and length. Cellaring potential is seven years.
