Wallace Shiraz Grenache
Wine
Glaetzer Wines Wallace Shiraz Grenache is made with grower fruit harvested from Ebenezer in the Barossa Valley. The wine is typically 80% Shiraz and 20% Grenache.
Fermentation occurs with a specific, neutral yeast strain to ensure natural fruit flavours. Following extended maceration, the juice is pressed and transferred to barrel for malolactic fermentation.
The Shiraz matures for 16 months in mostly French oak hogsheads, all 2-3 years old. Oak contact for the Grenache component is minimized to preserve pure fruit flavours.
Red purple, Glaetzer Wines Wallace Shiraz Grenache is vibrant with juicy berry flavours, supple tannins and a long finish. Cellaring potential is eight years.
