Willunga 1920 Shiraz

Coriole Willunga 1920 Shiraz is sourced from a tiny vineyard in the foothills of Willunga in McLaren Vale.

The site, whose old vines were planted in 1920, has deep gravelly loams. These soils produce a Shiraz that stands apart from Coriole's other expressions of the variety.

Traditional winemaking techniques prevail at the winery. The fruit is fermented in hand plunged open tanks. The wine matures in oak barrels, a small proportion new.

Dense red, Coriole Willunga 1920 Shiraz is soft and rich, with old vine complexity framed by very fine tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
