Chardonnay
Wine
Cloudburst Chardonnay is grown in winemaker Will Berliner's biodynamic Margaret River vineyard in the remote south-west corner of Australia. The vineyard is a stone's throw from the Indian Ocean.
Cloudburst practice biodynamic viticulture using homeopathic preparations, fish and seaweed emulsions, biodynamic composts, rock dusts, mulches and cover crops. They see the whole farm as an integrated, living system, with its foundation in the soil.
The handpicked grapes are whole bunch pressed straight to barrel. Wild ferments are used and intervention is as minimal as possible. The reputation of their Chardonnay now rivals their Cabernet Sauvignon.
Golden straw, Cloudburst Chardonnay has a rich burst of citrus flavour, vibrant acidity and subtle oak. Elegant with great length and beguiling complexity. Cellaring potential is eight years.
