Richardson Shiraz
Wine
Blue Pyrenees Richardson Shiraz is made with the most characterful batches of estate fruit. It is a tribute to the late Colin Richardson, a larger than life character and fierce advocate for Blue Pyrenees.
Made only in the best vintages, the wine is primarily sourced from the oldest estate Shiraz vineyards. In some years a dash of Viognier rounds out the blend.
After a warm primary ferment, the wine sees two weeks of extended maceration on skins. It is then sent to French and American oak for malolactic fermentation and 18-24 months of maturation. Select parcels are chosen for the final blend
Deep ruby, Blue Pyrenees Richardson Shiraz combines dark fruit flavours with careful oak influence and a long, spicy finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
