Bin 0 Shiraz
Wine
Best's Bin 0 Shiraz has been produced since the late 1800s. It is made from the winery's oldest Shiraz plantings – four Concongella Vineyard heritage blocks that surround the winery and homestead.
These are the 1868 Thomson Family Block, the 1966 Barts Block, 1970 Block and the 1992 Hill Block. These plantings are low yielding and produce intense grapes. Each block brings unique characters to the wine.
Bin 0 is the undisputed icon of Great Western Shiraz. All fruit is hand selected, sorted and fermented in small batches in open fermenters. It matures for 18 months in French and American oak in Best's underground cellar.
Deep dark red, Best's Bin 0 Shiraz is intense with succulent red fruits, fine graphite tannins and a long, complex finish.
An outstanding Great Western Shiraz. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
