Syrah
Wine
Innocent Bystander Syrah is a cool climate expression of Shiraz from the hillsides of the Yarra Valley. Depending on the year, the fruit is either partially or fully handpicked.
After cold soaking for several days, the fruit is fermented with a small whole bunch inclusion to build perfume in the wine. Once pressed the wine undergoes natural malolactic fermentation and matures for 9-12 months in French oak barrels.
Crimson purple, Innocent Bystander Syrah has generous fruit flavours, restrained oak and soft, spicy tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
