Harry's Monster
Wine
Giant Steps Harry's Monster draws from select blocks of the Sexton Vineyard. Located on the steep slopes of the Warramate Ranges, its neighbours are iconic Yarra Valley producers Yarra Yering and Coldstream Hills.
Harry's Monster is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small portion of Petit Verdot. Each variety is handpicked and vinified separately.
The grapes are destemmed and partially crushed before being tipped into open stainless steel fermenters. They are fermented naturally, with the juice given plenty of air via gravity drain and returns.
After two weeks of maceration on skins, the wine is pressed to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 14 months of maturation. The wine is blended and bottled via gravity without filtration.
Deep dark red, Giant Steps Harry's Monster is elegant and medium bodied with ripe berry flavours framed by firm tannins and fresh acidity. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
