Wine
Chandon Vintage Brut is primarily sourced from cool climate estate vineyards in the Whitlands Plateau and Strathbogie Ranges. A small parcel of fruit is from the winery's original Coldstream vineyard in the Yarra Valley.
This blend comprises Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Each variety from each site is fermented separately, ensuring their unique characteristics are retained.
The grapes are pressed in the vineyard to minimize the extraction of phenolics and protect the fruit's delicate aromas. They undergo primary fermentation and maturation in barrel before select parcels are chosen for blending.
The wine is bottled with a small mixture of yeast and sugar for secondary fermentation, creating naturally sparkling wine. It then spends over 36 months ageing on yeast lees.
Straw green with a fine bead, Chandon Vintage Brut has citrus and white stone fruit flavours with nutty, toasty characters and a long, tight acidity. Made for immediate enjoyment.
