864 Pinot Noir

Oakridge 864 Pinot Noir is named simply for the number in the winery's address at Coldstream. The range is the pinnacle of Oakridge winemaking.

864 Pinot Noir showcases micro Pinot Noir selections from exceptional single vineyard sites in the Yarra Valley.

The handpicked grapes are sorted and destemmed directly into an open fermenter for natural fermentation. After several weeks, the wine is pressed to French oak barrels, a small proportion new.

Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel followed by 10 months of maturation on gross lees. The wine spends a further six months in tank before bottling.

Dark garnet, Oakridge 864 Pinot Noir is rich and velvety with red fruit flavours, a clean line of acidity and fine tannins building length.

An outstanding Yarra Valley Pinot. Cellaring potential is seven years.
