Poacher's Ridge Shiraz Viognier is a blend of Shiraz with a splash of Viognier, from Western Australia's Great Southern region. Where possible, the fruit is handpicked.

The varieties are crushed together and co-fermented in open vessels. The juice is pumped over regularly, with oxygen added at the peak of the ferment to foster maximum extraction of tannins as well as colour from the grape skins.

Post ferment, the wine is run to new and seasoned French oak barrels to mature. Prior to bottling, the wine is blended in tank, minimally fined, and filtered.

Deep red, Poacher's Ridge Shiraz Viognier is soft and plush with plum flavours, subtle French oak and fine tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
