Petit Lot Chenin Blanc

Windows Estate Petit Lot Chenin Blanc is inspired by the wines of the Loire Valley in central France and sourced from the estate Home Block at Yallingup, Margaret River.

The vines are dry farmed in rows running north-south, which helps to shade the fruit from the sun. The result is grapes with greater mineral characters and natural acidity.

The fruit is handpicked at first light and chilled prior to whole bunch pressing. Only the free run juice is retained. Wild yeast fermentation occurs in a mix of seasoned French oak and clay vessels, followed by maturation on lees.

The wine then typically spends some time developing in bottle. The vintages are not necessarily released sequentially; they are only released when they are 'ready'.

A golden hue, Windows Estate Petit Lot Chenin Blanc is textured and complex with subtle oak, linear minerality and a long, fresh finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
