The Northing Shiraz
Wine
Seppeltsfield The Northing Shiraz draws from a single site at Marananga on the north-western ridge of the Barossa. Its soils are red brown earth shot with ironstone.
The wine is vinified in Seppeltsfield's historic 1888 Gravity Cellars, built into a hillside on a series of terraces. Gravity guides the fruit down through the winery, gently extracting colour, flavour and tannin.
Fermentation takes place in carefully monitored open fermenters. The wine then matures in new and seasoned French oak hogsheads.
Deep ruby red, Seppeltsfield The Northing Shiraz is brooding and tightly wound with stylish fruit flavours and remarkable length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
