Wine
Bass Phillip Gamay is grown at the estate vineyard at Leongatha in Gippsland. Gamay is the lesser known cousin of Bass Phillip's leading variety, Pinot Noir.
In the typical Bass Phillip style, the wine is made with minimal intervention. The fruit is handpicked and wild yeast fermented. The wine is bottled without filtration. Only small quantities are produced.
Light red purple, Bass Phillip Gamay has fresh, juicy fruit flavours, firm savoury tannins and a long finish. Cellaring potential is five years.
