The Groovy Grüner Veltliner

Billy Button The Groovy Grüner Veltliner is made with the Austrian variety Grüner Veltliner. It thrives in cool climates, making it a perfect fit for the Alpine Valleys.

Some of the juice typically sees contact with the grape skins before pressing. It is then cold settled, racked off gross lees and inoculated for fermentation in stainless steel. The wine is then sulphured and aged on lees.

In select years, the wine also contains a parcel which is wild yeast fermented in a Flexcube: a polymer vessel that imitates oak by slowly oxygenating the wine.

Bright yellow, Billy Button The Groovy Grüner Veltliner has ripe pear and stone fruit flavours, subtle texture and vibrant acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
