Wine

Greenock Creek Fifteen Claims Shiraz draws from just 15 short rows of vines that descend down a south-east facing slope at Moppa along the Barossa's north-western edge.

Fifteen is also the number of gold mining claims made on the vineyard property in the late 19th century. The wine is named after this coincidental intersection of past and present – 15 claims, 15 vine rows.

The site produces very low yields of small, thick skinned berries that are packed with flavour. They are picked and fermented, then the wine is aged in French oak barrels, a significant proportion new.

Inky purple, Greenock Creek Fifteen Claims Shiraz has intense black fruit flavours, long lines of tannin and flinty, spicy characters. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
