The Eye of Ra Shiraz
Wine
Glaetzer Wines The Eye of Ra Shiraz is only made in exceptional vintages. It showcases the vineyards where it is grown in Ebenezer at the northern tip of the Barossa Valley.
The fruit is handpicked from low yielding vines, some over 100 years old. The soils are deep, red brown sandy soils known as contrast soils.
Each vineyard parcel is fermented separately in small open fermenters, with gentle hand plunging three times daily. The ferments are kept cool to ensure a fresh aromatic profile.
The wine is then matured in new fine grained French oak hogsheads, where it undergoes natural malolactic fermentation.
Deep dark purple, Glaetzer Wines The Eye of Ra Shiraz is highly concentrated, deep and structured. It has pure fruit flavours, polished tannins and a long, firm finish.
Powerful yet elegant. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
