Pir Chenin Blanc
Wine
Aphelion Pir Chenin Blanc draws from a mature single vineyard at Blewitt Springs. Being cooler than other areas of McLaren Vale, its grapes maintain more natural acidity.
The Chenin Blanc fruit is separated into two ferments: one in tank and the other in neutral French oak barrels. The oak portion is fermented with wild yeasts, then is kept unsulphured as it matures on lees for four months with weekly stirring.
Bright straw, Aphelion Pir Chenin Blanc has ripe stone fruit flavours and deftly balances crisp acidity with creamy texture. Cellaring potential is seven years.
