Callow Grenache Blanc
Wine
Aphelion Callow Grenache Blanc is made with a relatively new variety in Australia – Grenache in its white form – grown at Yangarra Vineyard in Kangarilla, McLaren Vale.
The fruit is handpicked and whole bunch pressed, then fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and varietal character.
After a slow, cool ferment, a portion of the wine is transferred to second use French oak barrels to mature while the rest matures in tank. The batches are combined just prior to bottling.
Light yellow, Aphelion Callow Grenache Blanc has vibrant fruit characters complemented by spice and a textural edge. Cellaring potential is five years.
