Hard Hill Road Mule Variation
Wine
ATR Wines Hard Hill Road Mule Variation, inspired by the Tom Waits album of the same name, is a blend of the winery's most enigmatic varieties: Nebbiolo, Tannat, Petite Sirah and Shiraz.
Each variety is harvested at optimum flavour intensity, then combined and open fermented with a mix of wild and inoculated yeasts. The ferment is kept slow and uninterrupted for six weeks to create a complex structure.
The wine then matures in seasoned 500 litre barrels for 12 months before it is prepared for bottling.
Deep garnet, ATR Wines Hard Hill Road Mule Variation is full bodied with intense dark fruit flavours, supple tannins and a long, plush finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
