Estate Vineyard Rosé
Wine
Medhurst Estate Vineyard Rosé is made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from the winery's vineyard at Gruyere in the Yarra Valley. It is grown on grey brown loams soils.
The fruit is handpicked and placed in a cool room overnight, allowing a gentler extraction of juice when being whole bunch pressed at dawn. Only the pale coloured, highly flavoured juice is taken.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at moderate temperatures, which builds a more interesting mouthfeel. Intervention is kept to a minimum.
Pale copper, Medhurst Estate Vineyard Rosé is fruit driven yet savoury with supple texture and a fine chalky finish. Cellaring potential is two years.
