Wine

Poacher's Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec is handpicked from low yielding vines grown amongst the undulating hills of Great Southern, near the Narrikup township.

The grapes are crushed, pumped into open fermenters and inoculated immediately. At peak fermentation, the juice is pumped over regularly with aeration to maximize the extraction of fine grape tannins and colour from the skins.

Post ferment, the wine is run into French oak barrels, a small percentage new, to age for 16 months. There is minimal fining and filtration prior to bottling.

Deep red, Poacher's Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec has vibrant forest fruit flavours with balanced oak, tight tannins and length. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
