Provenance Henty Chardonnay is from the Drumborg Vineyard at Henty, whose volcanic buckshot soils over permeable red clay are well suited to Chardonnay.

The grapes are whole bunch pressed and the free run component of the juice is barrel fermented with wild yeasts. After maturation on lees, the best parcels are chosen to comprise the final blend.

Straw green, Provenance Henty Chardonnay has a fine spine of mineral acidity carrying the fruit flavours and creamy oak. Cellaring potential is five years.
