Righteous Grenache
Wine
Teusner Righteous Grenache hails from a vineyard at Moppa in the Barossa Valley's north, sited in deep sand over red clay with ironstone scattered throughout.
The fruit is picked by hand, gently crushed and open fermented with regular pump overs. Once pressed the wine spends two years in a mix of 40% new French oak puncheons and 3-6 year old oak barrels.
The wine is bottled in tiny quantities, and made only in the best years.
Crimson red, Teusner Righteous Grenache is a dense, rich wine, balancing acidity and tannins with a vibrant spicy lift. Cellaring potential is seven years.
