Nautica Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine
Rockcliffe Nautica Cabernet Sauvignon, made only in outstanding years, draws from a dry grown, low yielding block in the cool climate Frankland River region.
The grapes are chilled, destemmed and crushed into open fermenters. Fermentation takes place over two weeks with hand plunging several times a day. Once pressed, the wine matures in new and seasoned French oak.
The best barrels are selected for the final blend. There is no fining and only light filtration to ensure the wine is a true expression of its region.
Deep red, Rockcliffe Nautica Cabernet Sauvignon is a fruit driven wine with smoky characters and approachable tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
