Verdant Grenache
Wine
Aphelion Verdant Grenache is a single vineyard wine, handpicked from bush vines planted during the late 1930s at Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale.
All of the fruit is left as whole bunches to ferment to dryness. The free run juice is then transferred to a single neutral French oak puncheon, where it matures for nine months. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Deep purple, Aphelion Verdant Grenache has herbaceous whole bunch complexity, juicy acidity and ripe tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
