Old Vines Riesling

Leconfield Old Vines Riesling draws from a vineyard planted by winery founder Sydney Hamilton in 1974. The vines are harvested in the cool of the early morning.

Within minutes of picking, the grapes are air bag pressed. The juice is then cold settled and cold fermented to retain its fragrance. A small portion ferments in seasoned hogsheads to provide texture.

Post ferment, the wine is settled on its lees and lightly fined to aid clarification prior to bottling.

Pale straw, Leconfield Old Vines Riesling is crisp, clean and dry in style with fine texture. Cellaring potential is seven years.
