Wine

Penfolds Bin 111A Shiraz was first produced in the exceptional 2016 vintage to honour 175 years of innovation at Penfolds.

The Special Bin wines represent the pinnacle of Penfolds winemaking. They not only use the most outstanding fruit parcels but are only released if they offer something that is indeed very special.

The grapes are carefully selected from two proven Grange growers: the Botanic Vineyard in the Clare Valley (54%) and the Gersch Vineyard in the Barossa Valley (46%). The wine matures for 18 months in 100 per cent new French oak hogsheads.

Bin 111A Shiraz is the first Special Bin blend of Clare Valley and Barossa Valley fruit. The result is a wine that delivers more than the sum of its parts.

A deep dark red, Penfolds Bin 111A Shiraz is superbly structured and balanced with a maelstrom of dark fruit flavours framed by French oak. Cellaring potential is 25 years.
