Upper Yarra Valley Syrah
Wine
The Wanderer Upper Yarra Valley Syrah is sourced from a single vineyard at Dixons Creek at the north end of the Yarra Valley, sited in shallow loam over heavy clay soils.
All the fruit is fermented as whole bunches, receiving hand plunging. The wine is then transferred to old, large format French oak to mature for around 10 months. At bottling there is no fining or filtration.
Deep red purple, The Wanderer Upper Yarra Valley Syrah is a plush, silky wine with soft tannins and long length. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
