Syrah Mourvèdre Grenache

Swinney Vineyards Syrah Mourvèdre Grenache is a blend from the winery's Frankland River vineyard. It is handpicked in separate lots, ensuring each fruit parcel reaches optimum flavour and tannin maturity.

The Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache grapes are tipped into small fermenters to co-ferment together. A portion is incorporated as whole bunches.

After wild yeast fermentation and up to two weeks on skins, the wine is pressed to large format fine grained French oak barrels to age for 12 months. It is then blended and bottled without fining and only minimal filtration.

Bright garnet, Swinney Vineyards Syrah Mourvèdre Grenache is a savoury and textural wine with spice and polished tannins providing a long finish. Cellaring potential is seven years.
