Wine
Shaw Wines Shiraz is grown on low yielding estate vines at Murrumbateman in the Canberra District. The grapes are harvested in the cool of the night.
The fruit arrives at the winery still cool from the vineyard. Open fermentation occurs on skins, then the wine is sent to predominantly French oak barrels. The wine is bottled after up to 22 months of maturation.
Red purple, Shaw Wines Shiraz has juicy berry flavours with peppery notes, structural tannins and delicate acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
