Wine
Pikes Eastside Shiraz is an estate grown, single vineyard wine from Polish Hill River in the eastern reaches of the Clare Valley.
The fruit is wild fermented in open vats. Compressed air is used to gently work the cap of grape skins, ensuring the ferments are healthy yet avoid over extraction. The wine then matures in predominantly seasoned French oak for 12 months prior to bottling.
Dark cherry red, Pikes Eastside Shiraz is medium bodied and silky. Soft tannins balance the bright fruit core. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
