The Morrissey Cabernet Blend

Duke's Vineyard The Morrissey Cabernet Blend is named after a long time friend of the winery, Peter Morrissey, who would often make the significant journey from Perth to Porongurup to volunteer in the vineyard.

The Morrissey is a marked departure from the winery's usual single varietal style. Their inaugural blend, it is the result of more than a decade of whittling away Duke Ranson's belief that no two varieties are of equal quality in a blend.

Small batches of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz are harvested. The varieties remain separate throughout the winemaking, including maturation in new and seasoned oak. The final blend is determined by taste.

Crimson purple, Duke's Vineyard The Morrissey Cabernet Blend is warm, rich and fruit driven. A classic Australian blend. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
