Kalgan Ironrock Chardonnay

Willoughby Park Kalgan Ironrock Chardonnay is a single site wine sourced from the estate's Kalgan River vineyard, situated in rocky beds abundant in iron ore.

The fruit is picked during the coolest period of the night to retain its primary fruit flavours. It is typically whole bunch pressed for fermentation new and seasoned French oak barrels.

Only partial or no malolactic fermentation preserves the fruit's vibrant natural acidity. The wine matures for 10 months in oak with some lees stirring.

Bright straw, Willoughby Park Kalgan Ironrock Chardonnay has a slippery texture with balanced fruit flavours, subtle oak and acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
