Upper Yarra Valley Pinot Noir
Wine
The Wanderer Upper Yarra Valley Pinot Noir is sourced from a single vineyard at Yellingbo at the southern end of the Yarra Valley, situated at 200 metres elevation.
Most of the fruit is destemmed, with a proportion kept as whole bunches in certain vintages. It is cold soaked and open fermented with wild yeasts, receiving hand plunging. Maturation is in large format French oak on lees for around 12 months.
Pale crimson, The Wanderer Upper Yarra Valley Pinot Noir is light and delicate with red fruit flavours and earthy complexity. Cellaring potential is seven years.
