Suckfizzle Chardonnay
Wine
Stella Bella Suckfizzle Chardonnay is grown in a single vineyard on Cape Leeuwin at the very southern end of Margaret River, surrounded by the Southern and Indian Oceans.
The wine is made from just five rows of the Gin Gin clone planted in 1998. The prevailing Antarctic winds create distinction and character in the grapes. The salty, sea sprayed fruit has unique flavour.
The fruit is whole bunch pressed and wild ferments in French oak for 10 months with some bâtonnage (stirring on lees). To reveal the raw power of the vineyard the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Lime yellow, Stella Bella Suckfizzle Chardonnay has powerful citrus flavours, lively mineral acidity and piercingly pure elegance. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
