Single Vineyard Mount Barker Riesling
Wine
Singlefile Single Vineyard Mount Barker Riesling is drawn from the Blue Lake Vineyard on the south-west plains of Mount Barker. It is the second oldest vineyard in the Great Southern region, planted in 1971.
The primary focus of the winemaking is to preserve the fruit's delicate flavours and aromas. The grapes are handpicked and whole bunch pressed to avoid extracting harsh phenolics that could overpower the wine.
The juice is cold settled and fermented with a neutral yeast strain at 14°C. The wine is then prepared for bottling.
Light straw, Singlefile Single Vineyard Mount Barker Riesling has intense lime flavours, subtle minerality and lingering acidity. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
