Third Reef Pinot Noir
Wine
Rockcliffe Third Reef Pinot Noir is sourced from vineyards across Great Southern in Western Australia, influenced by sea breezes from the Southern Ocean.
All the grapes are machine harvested, destemmed and crushed into small open fermenters, where they are inoculated with yeasts. The ferments, kept at 25°C, are pumped over with aeration twice daily.
After a long post ferment maceration, the wine is transferred to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and maturation. It is fined with egg whites prior to bottling.
Crimson purple, Rockcliffe Third Reef Pinot Noir has textured dark fruit flavours and fine silky tannins. Cellaring potential is five years.
