Tallawanta Hunter Valley Shiraz
Wine
Pepper Tree Tallawanta Hunter Valley Shiraz is sourced from the Tallawanta Vineyard planted in the 1920s by the Elliot family. The vineyard is leased by Pepper Tree.
The best Hunter Shiraz is grown on the renowned red clay soils in the foothills of the Brokenback Range. The dry grown vines produce tiny quantities of intensely flavoured fruit.
The fruit is fermented on skins for seven days. The wine is then pressed off and transferred to French oak to mature. After 12 months ageing the best barrels are selected for the final blend.
Deep garnet, Pepper Tree Tallawanta Hunter Valley Shiraz is medium bodied with dark fruit flavours. It is a powerful wine with great purity, length and longevity.
A classic Hunter Shiraz. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
