High Eden Estate Chardonnay
Wine
Mountadam High Eden Estate Chardonnay is sourced from one of Australia's oldest cool climate Chardonnay vineyards, established in 1972 on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Eden Valley.
Around half of the juice is fermented in new French oak barriques while the remainder is fermented in 1-2 year old barrels. The wine sees intermittent bâtonnage (stirring on lees) during maturation, which lasts for an average of 12 months.
Pale gold, Mountadam Vineyards Estate High Eden Chardonnay has a complex mix of stone fruit, nutty and spicy characters with a clean acidity. Cellaring potential is five years.
